Alice Leonce-Stevens is a voice for the youth, a motivator, and most importantly a caring mother, and wife.  Alice is dedicated to ensuring underserved students, families, and communities are given the tools needed to overcome generational cycles of trauma.
 

Dr. Alice Leonce-Stevens is the Chief Executive Officer. She has over 23 years of experience in prevention and intervention with a speciality in trauma and creation of innovative programs for underserved populations. Dr. Leonce-Stevens has developed and facilitated programs at state, national and international levels. She developed the Peer Leadership Program, Intensive Prevention & Intervention Program, Becoming Trauma informed through application to emotional intelligence training and many more youth and professional development curriculums. Through her expertise, she has trained the military on cultural sensitivity, presented at the National Sexual Assault Conference in California on Youth Leadership Development and developing non-traditional programs,  presented to world leaders at the 2018 Parliament of World Religion in Toronto Canada on Program youth and community engagement. She also continues to offer national training to mental health providers on applied trauma care and cultural appropriateness when diagnosing and working with clients.  Dr. Stevens focuses heavily on creating trauma informed lenses.

 

Dr. Leonce-Stevens  has a Doctorate of Social Science in Prevention Science, Master’s Degree in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling; and a double major in Criminal Justice and Paralegal Studies. Dr. Leonce-Stevens also holds a multitude of trauma training certification which includes but not limited to Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist-Sex-trafficking and exploitation (CCTS-S), Certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional - CATP, Certified Depression & Mood Disorder Treatment Professional - CDMDTP, Certified Specialist in Child and Adolescent Anger Management - CSAM-CA, Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW), Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS), International Certified Prevention Specialist (ICPS), Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider (CTMH) and Certification, Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist- Family - (CCTS-F)

 

In summary, Dr. Leonce-Stevens is dedicated to ensuring every at-risk student, family, and community increase their protective factors and therefore, are given the tools needed to overcome cycles of trauma, public health inequity, unhealthy social norms, education inequity and social determinants.  She is currently the President of the Wilmington Junior Chambers International, Member of Delaware Rape Prevention and Education Leadership Team, Board Member for Pi Gamma Mu's Alumni Council, and Committee Member for the National Civil Rights Conference
